Am I too busy to multiply?

  Friday 6th March, 2020

“All authority is heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”

The great commission is for all of us. It is not just for special people, full-timers or evangelists. It’s an assignment for all. Every believer is to be a disciple-maker! Every believer can make and start disciple-making groups! Gone should be the days of the spectator Christian, sitting week after week, sitting in pews. We need to be relevant to the 'harvest' around us.

HOW DO WE FIND THE TIME?
If you are too busy, then those you are leading as disciples will only follow in your steps. You need to model how it can work so they can do it. I don’t have time is a myth! “If Jesus commanded me to make disciples that would obey Him and make more disciples, He will help me find the time to do it” We need to be willing to FOCUS on what is ESSENTIAL. We need to be willing to say no to things that aren’t the most essential.
It's the discipline of the Pursuit of Less!
How can I be more focused on what God has called my life to do? Instead of asking, What do I have to give up? Essentialists ask, What do I want to go BIG on? I want to go BIG on the great commission!

ACTIVITY - Make a list of all the activities you do in your life in an average week or month. Then put a circle around all those activities that relate to Disciple-Making. Evaluate can I re-prioritize and what can I let go of, or let others do.

BIG ROCKS
The phrase ‘PUT THE BIG ROCKS IN FIRST’ relates to doing the most important things first each day. It is a simple way to give yourself time and space to work on what is important to you each day. Imagine you have a bucket, and next to it a small pile of rocks, pebbles, and sand. If you put the sand in first, you leave no room for rocks and pebbles. If you put the pebbles in first you might have room for sand, but the rocks won’t fit. The only way to fit everything in the bucket is to put the big rocks in first then the pebbles.

We are believing God to raise up movements of house churches and Disciple Makers across this nation and beyond, but it will not happen without mobilising prayer and prioritising our time. Join us in building a praying teams everywhere, where together we can pray in a MOVE OF GOD to see a multiplication of house churches and disciple-makers.
