Dear friends,
God has touched my heart. I have been thinking, praying, writing and teaching about the storm continuously over recent months. But last night there was fresh transformational revelation about God’s calling in the global financial storm:
What is the currency of the world? Dollars Greed What’s in it for me!
What is the currency of the Kingdom? Fruit Self sacrifice What’s in it for God!
· what did Jesus come to earth for? - to seek and save that which is lost (Luke 19:10)
· what was Jesus Mission statement? – Luke 4:18-19
· what do the angels rejoice over? - one sinner who is saved
· what is God’s great purpose? - to reconcile the world to himself (Col 1:20)
· what is the point of the parable of the talents? – multiplied returns!
This Global financial crisis is a Transforming Storm. It is a gift from God to change our hearts and motivations: from the currency of the world to the currency of the Kingdom. It’s a Jonah storm to turn us around from “what’s in it for me” to our being on about God’s purposes. This storm is changing my heart from satisfaction in good works to hunger for fruit for the Kingdom. Bill Hybels calls this a ‘Holy Discontent’ with what is!
This is a time to cry out to God in the storm: ‘forgive us Oh Lord and release upon us the power to produce bountiful fruit for your Kingdom through MCF’.
Are you moving on from AGREEMENT to ALIGNMENT? From agreement with Biblical principles - to alignment with how God wants to work in you to produce more fruit?
I am hungry for souls and hungry for Kingdom fruit in the marketplace. It’s time for us to be transformed in the storm and then multiply fruit through our members in their marketplaces.
