If you’ve travelled to Vienna, you may have seen a certain character, dressed as a Grim Reaper, walking around the busy inner-city district, with a placard hung round his neck reading

“WORK … CONSUME … SHUT-UP … DIE”
As he strides silently through a sea of busy power-walking professionals, he gets more than few quizzical expressions.

However any thought of a different way of life is quickly pushed aside as the day’s tasks, pressures, meetings and challenges crowd back in.

The key to a meaningful life and fulfilling vocation is through discovering our place in God’s world and God’s story.

At TABOR VICTORIA this semester Theology of Everyday Life and Work explores this area of Christian life.

Held on three weekends (starting Friday night and running all day Saturday), the sessions will cover topics such as:

Connecting Heaven to Earth – seeing the spiritual in everyday life
What relevance does our work have to our faith, and faith to our work?
Is there really a divide between what is sacred and what is secular?
Does God have a calling for my life? And if so, how can I find it?
Can I be a Christian engaged in sport, business, or politics without compromising my beliefs?
What is the place of leisure, beauty, re-creation in Christian life?
And at the same time, what about boredom, distraction and interruptions?
