Sat 10 May, 12-4pm. Coming together in prayer and unity are part of the keys of the Kingdom. Jesus has instructed us to use these keys so that the “gates of Hades” will not overcome the church (Matt 16:19).
Once a year leaders and members of Christian groups in the marketplace take time out for a special space to come together as part of the Churches ministry to the marketplace. We come together as marketplace ministers (work place Christians), Pastors and Intercessors to take up the keys of the Kingdom for God’s purposes of reconciling all things to himself (Col 1:20).
Take for example how our Christian Prime Minister is expressing his faith and values in the public arena. We need to pray and support him in his stand against binge drinking, gambling and substance abuse, to name just a few demons of a secular society.
Just as we need to support the Prime Minister in his public space, so you also need to be supported in your sphere of influence. So on Sat 10 we have this beautiful opportunity to set aside about as much time as going to a footy match… to strengthen the hand of our Christian brothers and sisters in the marketplace and to own together God’s common goal for our city (Col 1:20).
