Over the last weekend, Bruce and Rose Kerr (OIKOS Queensland), and I, with my grandson Jackson aged 10, drove from Nambour to Pittsworth where we met Pat Forrest (Faye was still at work), who led us out to Millmeran where we had a gathering and would spend the night. Faye joined us at Wal and Denise Mitchell’s home along with some other folk who are ‘out on a limb’ and seeking to regularly meet with others on a similar journey. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and afterwards we all sat around the table and shared the stories of our journeys and I spoke with them about the emphases I see emerging in the way God is reforming His church in our day. We had a lively time.
After this, we drove to Warwick where we received wonderful hospitality from Geoff Hope. Alan Ripphausen joined us and we all had a great sharing time and a strong focus on prayer for Warwick.
We then returned to Nambour where we were able to pick up a motor home graciously lent to us by a lady in the home church at Eumundi. We set off the next day for Kingaroy and Doug and Carolyn Moseling who have a regular gathering in their home. Once again we were blessed with generous hospitality. We enjoyed sharing with the Christians gathered there where again I shared about the paradigm shift moving from traditional ways of church, to the ways God is leading His people today in this reformation of church. We stayed on the next morning while Bruce and Doug fixed odds and ends on the motor home as one does before big trips. Jackson was so excited about sleeping in the motor home! We are setting out further west this afternoon. I am not sure if I will have access to the internet over the next week or so, however, I will catch you up with the news with some photos when we return. These trips are a great opportunity to bring encouragment to small gatherings of God’s people. Thank you to all those of you who are praying for us.
