Romans 1:16-17. I am impressed again today that Paul was ‘not ashamed’ to preach the good news of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) because it has the power to bring salvation to those who hear (and respnd with faith). Are we not brave enough sometimes? Are we too afraid of ‘putting people off’? Do we skirt around the edges instead of going to the heart of who Jesus is and what He has done for us through the cross and his resurrection? Jesus is sooo attractive to people ‘out there’ who don’t want to have anything to do with church as they know or have experienced it. There is a hungry, hurting world ‘out there’ who would respond to the power of hearing about the reality of Jesus. Home churches - can I encourage you to ‘gossip the Gospel’ as the earliest church did - and they turned the world upside down!
