2 weeks past since my heart surgery which went very well. Dr Michael Yii
is tops.
Reading an old book called “The Real Faith” by Charles Price leading up
to this surgery
gave me the needed skills to manage my fears and be in that peaceful
frame of mind that only God Himself can give.
One might say in todays terms that I was “in the zone” for things to
work out well.
And so they did to the Glory of God.
It is a book that is out of print but I highly recommend it. It may be
sourced from some old religious library?
On the day, delayed surgery didnt cause me any concerns; fasting was no
effort for the 24 + hours
as the Holy Spirit reminded me to ask Jesus to be my Living Water and my
Bread of Life.
It was amazing that after I asked for this that the desires left me.
I came out with minimal bruising and clean suture lines which have
healed really well.
No nausea, and although quite a lot of local pain in my shouders for
about 10 days it was able to be reduced with panadol.
One little problem was a persistant rash from the tape or surgical wash.
I still take panadol sometimes for nerve pains over my collar bones and
down my arms. Much this is getting less as time passes.
I thank God that it is a total success. I haven’t felt this good for
about 10 years.
My energy levels are normal now, and I am tolerating the extreme heat of
the last week more easily than I used to last summer.
So please sing a song of thanks and praise to the Lord for all He has done.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to all who got on their knees to pray for
me and my family.
With people like you all, life goes more easily, and with “God with us”
we learn that “God is for us”
