I was challenged in my prayer time and Bible reading this morning with the thought that if we are not dealing deeply with God in prayer, then why would He speak into our lives? It is very easy, especially at this time of the year, to ‘pray on the run’. I was challenged with the warning that I could easily lapse into lethargy, or ‘cast off restraint’ and allow idols of busyness, the ’sillyness’ of the season and the ‘tyranny of the urgent’ to grieve my Lord and to rob myself of the need to hear from Him! Anyone else having these challenges at this time?
