Peter Fowler

Peter Fowler

We are both West Aussies although we have spent a considerable amount of time on the East Coast. I grew up in Wongan Hills, the son of a local farmer, and Cheryl in Mandurah. We have two adult Children.

In mid 1995 I was fighting for my life having contracted a very virulent form of malaria. God gave me a dream of a new church and told me I would live to see this happen. Since that time, Cheryl, my wife and I have been on a very exciting journey and now believe that the house church movement is where God wants us to be.

I currently work as a high school chaplain. Most of my ministry has been with youth work including high school teaching.

I also run a house church for men called "Ourcell" and it is our intention to network this into a number of strategically placed groups around Perth. Our focus is on understanding and practicing the spirituality which Jesus taught men.

I believe part of my calling is to be a friend to the house church movement in Perth and I am available to meet with and encourage those who are seeking to be church in fresh ways.

Nathan and Nicole Hobby

Nathan & Nicole Hobby

Aged in our mid-20s, we were married in January 2006. Nathan is a librarian and a writer; Nicole is a multimedia design/ cultural studies student, a violist and a gardener. We came to be involved in house-church through wanting a participatory form of church which took discipleship seriously. For several years we have been involved in Perth Anabaptist Fellowship, a house church in Perth's south-eastern suburbs. Currently we are planting a church in our new house in Perth's western suburbs. We want it to be about sharing a new style of kingdom life together, reaching out to the de-churched and un-churched in the area. We also hope to encourage more connections between house churches in WA.
